How do cookieless sessions work?

We hash Salt + date + project + IP + User-Agent into a daily anonymous session ID. Raw IP is never stored.

Starter includes up to 5 goals and 3 funnels; Premium raises those caps. Goal conversions count matching track events or page paths in your selected date range. Funnels measure sequential steps as distinct sessions.

Can I invite teammates?

Starter and Premium org admins can invite teammates from Settings → Team. When SMTP is configured, Analytica emails the invite; otherwise you get a copyable /invite/[token] link. Free plans cannot invite additional members.

Can I embed dashboards in my product?

Starter and Premium support signed embed tokens and the <analytica-dashboard> Web Component. Premium can remove branding and lock each iframe to a client with signed filters such as userId and pathPrefix. The iframe cannot widen those claims.

How do feature flags work?

Free plans cannot create flags. Starter includes 3, and Premium includes 25 with percentage rollouts. The same visitor id and flag key always resolve the same way. identify() does not change that assignment. The browser tracker fetches the result asynchronously and caches it in sessionStorage so page views are not blocked.

What is the live real-time dashboard?

The Realtime tab streams pageviews, custom events, and geography over Server-Sent Events as each event arrives. It does not poll. The Live visitors count in the dashboard header is separate: it is how many sessions were active in the last five minutes.

What is cohort retention?

Premium includes an N-week retention matrix. Each row is the week someone was first seen, and each column is the share of that cohort who returned later. Free and Starter plans see an upgrade prompt instead of the live matrix.

Does form abandonment capture what people type?

Accepted Answer

No. The tracker records that a form was focused and whether it was submitted. It never reads field values, so sign-up and checkout drop-off stays free of keystrokes and other form contents.

How do I upgrade from the dashboard?
